rs200_decode is a nice little program that enables users of Polar HRM watches (RS200, S410, S510) to download exercises to a Linux or Windows computer, using a microphone. This is especially useful for Linux, as there is no Polar software that runs on this free operating system.
This is a beta port to use the PulseAudio sound system (standard on Ubuntu).
For compiling the source, you’ll need to install the libpulse-dev package.
Download rs200_decode_090-pulse_source.tgz
UPDATE Sep 30 2014. Fixed the download link. If importing a file fails for you, apply rs200decode_import_patch from Diogo Matsubara.
Great !!!!! Work find!
Thanks
Thank you very much. It works fine.
I’ve been searching many hours for it.
I encountered this problem when I upgraded to Maverick and I thought that because the project was abandoned it would never work. Thanks a lot!
This worked great for me! It records from the microphone much better than the official polar software (soniclink).
I couldn’t make rs200decoder read from a wav file (using the -i option) though. I tried to email the original author, but his email doesn’t seem to be working. I get this result when I use the -i option: http://pastebin.ubuntu.com/758812/
Would you happen to know why? It seems -i option is not accepting the file name.

Hi! The link is not working for me. Alternative link, please?
Miguel, apologies! The link is fixed now.
